What is composite aluminum?

Aluminum composite material (ACM) is a three-layer sandwich panel consisting of two pre-painted aluminum sheets bonded to a polyethylene (PE) core. ACM panels are an excellent material for indoor or outdoor applications that require good dimensional stability, low weight, and a sleek, brilliant look.

Elements of composite aluminum sheets

The constituent elements of composite aluminum sheets include the following:

1- Printed aluminum foil composite protective sheet protective label:

This layer is generally made of polyethylene
It is produced in different types such as black back print, transparent printer and single color, two color, three color and four color combinations.

In addition to introducing the brand of the sheet, the name of the manufacturer, the logo and other promotional items, this layer prevents the sheet from being damaged due to transportation, transfer and during installation.
And after installation, it is separated and discarded.

2- Premium Bond Aluminum Composite Sheet with PVDF Color Coating:

This layer of aluminum sheet is commonly used in the manufacture of composite aluminum with thicknesses of 0.3, 0.4 and 0.5.

It is a PVDF type that the final quality of the composite aluminum sheet is highly dependent on this type of paint.

The type of aluminum alloy is generally 3003, although the use of 1100 alloy is also common.

3- Adhesive layer of premium bond aluminum composite sheets:

The aluminum sheets are glued to the middle core of the composite, which is made of plastic, using an adhesive layer.

4- Plastic core of premium bond aluminum composite sheets:

This layer of plastic is usually PVC or polyethylene. This layer strengthens the composite as well as the insulating property of the composite.

5- Aluminum layer behind aluminum sheets composite premium bond:

Aluminum layer because it is exposed to sunlight and also in the presence of air
It must be of very high quality in terms of thickness as well as the quality of the paint.

But the aluminum back layer is not exposed to light and air and has no effect on the beauty of the facade
It is usually of lower quality and cheaper.

The back aluminum layer is usually painted with polyester paint.
