Fire-resistance Aluminum Composite (FR)
What is Fire-resistance Aluminum Composite (FR)?
Why should we use Fire-resistance aluminum composite sheets (FR)?
At temperatures above 100. C, polyethylene begins to soften, shrink, and eventually melt. During the melting stage, toxic flammable gases are released. At temperatures above 350 C, they become combustible gases, and at temperatures between 450 and 500 C, these gases ignite.
Why use fireproof aluminum composite sheets (FR)?
Aluminum composite sheet with a thickness of 4 mm
Aluminum composite sheet with a thickness of 4 mm
Most composite aluminum sheets are made of LDPE polyethylene core:
Polyethylene, Type LDPE = 0,92 g/cm۳
۱ m۲ = ۲,۷۶ kg PE
Most sheets are made of two layers of 0.5 mm aluminum and 3 mm polyethylene. This means that 75% of the sheet consists of polyethylene.
At temperatures above 100. C, polyethylene begins to soften, shrink, and eventually melt. During the melting stage, toxic flammable gases are released. At temperatures above 350. C, they become flammable gases, and at temperatures between 450 and 500. C, these gases ignite.
In parallel with this process, the polyethylene core loses its strength and the outer aluminum layer separates while the polyethylene is still adhering to it, and is more flammable since it is more exposed to the open air.
What is the reason for these changes ?!
۱ kg Polyethylene ≈ ۱۲,۰ kW/h
۱ kg Fuel oil ≈ ۱۱,۷ kW/h
۱ kg Gasoline ≈ ۱۱,۸ kW/h
۱ m2 Composite core (3,0mm) ≈ ۳,۸ l fuel oil
5000 square meters of 4 mm composite aluminum facade is equal to 19000 liters of fuel
4,000 square meters of 4 mm composite aluminum facade equals 19,000 liters of fuel
Fireproof aluminum composite sheets (FR) do not burn!
Fireproof aluminum composite sheets (FR) do not produce toxic gas!
Aluminum sheets with different alloys have different melting points:
EN AW 1050 ۶۴۶-۶۵۷ ° C
EN AW 5754 ۶۱۰-۶۴۰ ° C
EN AW 6060 ۵۸۵-۶۴۰ ° C
1kg of polyethylene produces 2,300 cubic meters of highly toxic gases, including carbon monoxide, cyanide, carbon dioxide and soot.
1 m2 of composite aluminum sheet with a 3 mm polyethylene core weighs 2.76 kg kg.
۲۳۰۰ m۳/kg x 2.76 kg = 6348 m۳
This means that each square meter of composite aluminum sheet produces 6348 m3 of highly toxic gases, which is 28 square meters of space filled with super-toxic gases, and if each house has 4 occupants, each square meter of composite sheet It puts 112 people at risk of death.
