Commercial building facade
What Materials Can Be Used for Commercial building Façade ?
Optimal use of premium bond aluminum composite sheet in the case of the company’s products is precisely related to the industrialization of construction. A few basic factors in building are: safety, beauty, convenience and of course the cost of execution. The premium band is actually made of two sheets of aluminum alloy with a middle layer of polymer. To beautify and diversify them, special paints are applied, which result in a premium aluminum composite panel with the following special properties: ductility, color diversity, fire resistance (without CFC materials harmful to the environment), non-integrated performance in Earthquake, facade sealing, no need to wash, replaceable.
Aluminum composite facade in different dimensions with a thickness of 4 mm consists of two layers of aluminum sheets. The inner core of the premium bond aluminum composite sheet is made of polyethylene and fire retardant minerals. The surface coating of composite aluminum sheets is made of PVDF resin, which is called Aluminum Composite Panels.
What is a façade on a commercial building?
A facade in a building is the interface between its external and internal environment. It is usually one exterior side of a building, usually but not always the front. In commercial building architecture, a facade is often the most crucial aspect of design as it sets the tone for the rest of the building .
Commercial Façade Design
Commercial facades are directly related to business. The building that stands out and has an identity of itself tends to get better footfall, especially in showrooms and malls.
The term ‘design’ in a facade not only covers the aesthetics but also the functionality as well as its communication to the interiors.
The material application is directly related to the energy consumption in the building and hence on the ecological burden of the earth.
We as interior designers, understand that good design need not necessarily be expensive but it definitely pays back.
How to Have the Ideal Commercial Building Frontage Design?
There is a different feel among residential, government and commercial buildings. One glance and the public should instantly feel what the building is for.
For example, commercial buildings with a shopping complex and amusement centres often look more vibrant than their residential counterparts. The energy from the outside should already feel different.
For buildings especially designed for residential tenants, the building exterior should somehow evoke a feeling of home and belonging. The purpose should already be clear just by looking at the frontage.
This requires art, science and experience because evoking the feeling is a complex process especially in facade architecture. Engineers and architects need to consider the purpose of the building, its brand, the surrounding areas and structures and even the materials and texture of the resulting frontage.
Benefits of using aluminum composite panel :
- Beautiful and varied facade of the building using aluminum materials
- Ease of maintenance of the facade
- Sound and heat insulation.
- Possibility of color facade variety
- High stability and long life against harsh weather conditions.
- Ability to execute arched views
- Ease of machining, bending, sheet drilling.
- Run and install quickly and accurately.
- High earthquake resistance.
- Resistant to wind vibrations and unwanted sounds.
- Ability to fully adjust during installation and even after installation.
- Lack of contact of aluminum and iron materials in the facade of the building
- High resistance to all kinds of thermal shocks.
- The low weight of the facade structure compared to other facades of the building
- Reduce the cost of facades of commercial buildings due to the lack of steel in the facade
